This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a small hydroelectric power plant at the Czech Mill weir and consists of several parts. The first part processes and evaluates the flows. The next part selects appropriate technology, which is then processed. In the third part visualizations of the proposed study are created.

The diploma thesis should identify inconsistencies of the small hydraulic power plant Katovice. The fountain water turbine is now running in slower delivery because the original Francis high speed turbine achieved much smaller flow than a Kaplan type turbine. The aim of the thesis is a project of a spiral case and a distributor for the Kaplan turbine, which should work in higher flow and should be run in its optimum. This project will serve as a base for construction of distributor and spiral case for the small hydraulic power plant Katovice.

This master's thesis is specialised in designing of small hydropower plant for specific location. In work should be designed suitable turbine for parameters found on the site, then created a basic project documentation of small hydropower plant with all devices and used principles, so that the plant would be capable of operation. In the next part of thesis should be extented the calculation of flow in the turbine delivery and assessed effect of geometry of turbine delivery on the flow.
Feasibility study of small hydro power plant on the river Papradnianka in the district of Povážská Bystrica

The main purpose of this bachelor's thesis is the design of conceptual solution of a small hydroelectric power plant on the river Papradnianka in the Prúdy area and a feasibility assessment of this project. Hydrological data and a selection of the most appropriate type of power plant are revaluated in the first part of this bachelor's thesis. A selection of appropriate technology and individual parts of small hydroelectric power plant are described in the following part. Economic return of this project is assessed in the last part. According to the results of this bachelor's thesis, this project is technically realizable, but the return of investment is big due to current prices of energy .
Study of small hydropower station Rajhrad at the Svratka river

The subject of the work is the design of the completion of the flow-through small hydro power Plant (MVE) in the weir Rajhrad on the river Svratka in km 34.970. The study is divided into several parts, which include the processing of hydraulic and hydrological substrates, the design of applicable technology and the elaboration of drawing documentation of small hydro power plant. The purpose of a small hydro power plant on the weir Rajhrad is to use the hydropower potential of the river Svratka to generate electricity.
Planning and Management of the Kaplan Turbine Modernization Project

This master’s thesis solving the issue of planning and management of Kaplan turbine modernization project. The first chapter deals with the basic definition of project management concepts, methods, techniques and tools used in project planning and management. This information forms theoretical basis for the following two chapters, which represent the company in which the turbine modernization project itself will be implemented in the future. The second chapter contains analyzes of external and internal environment of the company and the project. On their basis the third chapter creates a specific proposal for project solution. Results and conclusions of the master’s thesis will allow a better and more detailed understanding of Kaplan turbine modernization implementation project and all associated critical points or potential risks. The work can be beneficial not only for project managers, but also for company management, investors, other companies in the field of engineering and wide audience.

The content of this diploma thesis is a feasibility study of a small hydropower station within the navigation lock Přelouč II. This work builds on the framework proposal of one variation of layout arragement of the navigation lock. In this variant is considered to build a lock, which also includes a small hydropower station. At the beginning, the location of individual building objects is resolved with respect to the conditions in the locality. This is followed by a more detailed development of the building and technological part of a small hydropower plant. Part of the thesis is accompanying and technical report, drawing documentation, hydrotechnical and hydroenergetic calculations and photographic documentation.
